There is something I wish to add to my wishlist and I wish Santa or hubby would grant it this Christmas. It’s a D90, LX3 or better LX5. It’s wishful thinking actually coz if I were to be practical, I wouldn’t buy it yet. I need to save a lot still. I will try not to use my savings to get one of this. But if a generous soul would give one of those to me, I would truly be happy this Christmas.
Hubby and I went to the grocery to buy milk for the little boy and some other stuff for home. We were looking for something that the little one could possibly have for snacks at school when we came across this lane where I found this Mrs. Cubbison’s Garlic and Butter French Bread Croutons. It is prepared from freshly baked bread that is lightly toasted and perfectly seasoned. It is said that the goodness of this French bread croutons will enhance the flavor and appearance of any soup or salad.
I was thinking of making my own simple veggie salad and adding this to it. But we ended up opening the box of this croutons and eating it as is. I bought this hoping the little boy will come to like it. I remember he liked this one when we eat at Pizza Hut. But he has not tasted this one yet as he was not able to eat much even his pizza when he came home from school. If he does not like it, hubby and i might as well consume it.
I want to light up our place more. One thing my sister has been telling me is that lighting in any home is important since it helps to bring more positive energy into the house and the people living in it. As much as I wanted to have more natural light into the house, the back is closed with a wall and the front has a high fence both side and front. So I might just as well work out something inside the house.
When the light at the middle of our place between the living room and dining room-kitchen area was removed, I was thinking of replacing it with pendant lights like those in the photo instead of the usual fluorescent light, aside from finding a standing lamp to place in the corner of our living room to add more light into our place. Those are actually mosaic mini-pendant lights but I love the way that it adds to becoming a decor aside from the functionality of giving more light into the room and more importantly it will light up our place more.
Hubby treated us to brunch at one of our fave seafoods resto just near here well actually near the mall. While we were waiting for our food to be served, I cannot help but look at their windows. They have these fabric sliding panels on it that I have been wanting to have at home as an alternative to having blinds instead of the curtains in our front window in the living room so that we can easily at any time of the day, open up and let natural light into our simple living room and see what’s outside.
You know it’s always nice to have a great view of outside from inside the house. It’ll less likely make you have that feeling of being claustrophobic. So if and when we have a budget, we will still decide whether to get those sliding panels or have blinds and to the cabinet goes our curtain after it has been washed of course!
The idea of working on Sundays is not something we like but hubby’s company is not like most which have the regular work schedule from Monday to Friday. After almost seven years, I have already gotten used to his schedule though there are time we wish he had a more regular duty schedule and no graveyard shifts. But the compensation is good and it helps a lot in our finances.
So it’s another Sunday of work for hubby later and I am not going to make it much of a lazy Sunday for myself. I have some work to do and the seemingly endless house chores. I took a break from hand washing some of my lil boy’s stained clothes. I decide to go on window shopping online. It’s something I often do when I take a break from work. I am going to look for this particular office furniture that I wish to have in my so-called home office.
This home office however looks so elegant for our simple little home. Maybe it would be ideal to have a compact home office instead which are stylish, affordable workstations at home. Though it could be something like this or better than this. I’d be scouting for more office furniture concepts later. I’d go check the lil boy first.
