Afternoon Walk

Filed Under (Home Stuff, Personal) by tere on 09-03-2010

Power is still out and I suddenly miss my parent’s place. Coz if we were there at this time, I would be outside enjoying an afternoon walk but not on the street or I would go for a walk to the church grounds nearby and enjoy the sunny afternoon in the shade of course. I remember it is windy out there so no need to worry much because of the heat this afternoon. Yes it is hot in here already with summer season here. Okay the lil boy is asleep I’ll take a quick afternoon walk outside. It’s not as hot anymore with the sun going down with more shade outside. Come on let’s take a walk!

Lights Out

Filed Under (Davao, Home Stuff, Personal) by tere on 09-03-2010

The lights are out as well as the electricity that started exactly at two this afternoon. Hubby had told me earlier this morning that there will be a power outage scheduled from 1PM to 5PM today.

This rotating brownout in the city as I have said before is somehow our Earth Hour twice a day observance. Yes it is a sacrifice but it somehow a blessing in disguise as it gives us time to focus on other things which people may be taking for granted everyday. I am not only talking about mother earth but I am also talking about the little things that we could do if we stay away from our life “online” if you know what I mean. Read the rest of this entry »

Garlic Bread

Filed Under (Davao, Food, Personal) by tere on 06-03-2010

Hubby just went out this late at night to buy a loaf of garlic bread in the nearby pizza house. I actually do not like garlic but this garlic bread there makes me appreciate little by little the taste of garlic. They also have garlic in my fave pasta dish there but I don’t mind at all coz I cannot taste it anyway. What I hate is when I can taste the garlic in my mouth. I’m really gonna have to take it out of my mouth and take something to cover the taste. Thanks to hubby for buying the garlic bread. The pizza house is close tomorrow. This is what the lil boy and I eat lately. We just toast it and it could already be my meal. The lil boy likes it too when we toast it. You gotta try it if you live in town.

Brownout

Time check fifteen minutes past nine. I woke up for the second time today as I heard silence when the A/C near me turned off and when I opened my eyes, the emergency light was already on. I woke up earlier on when hubby went to kiss me goodbye as he went out to work. I decided to sleep longer. Now I cannot work online. Might as well play with the little one who woke up just in time that the now two-hour rotational brownout started. This is our first two-hour brownout since it was announced Thursday late afternoon.
