Thankful

This is a day to be thankful to the Lord for making me busy with work! Being busy for me and my online friends means one thing and that means we have work opportunities here and there. Though I know my other friends have a lot more opportunities than what I have but we are all thankful for these blessings. It lets us pay off our bills and save more as I continue to work hard for our lil boy. May the Lord keep pouring unto us those blessings and we will never tire of thanking and doing them even if it means working on a holiday we would not really mind. For we know this hard work will be rewarded. I am also so thankful to my friends at this kind of work that I do (they know who they are)  for the blessings they share to me and my boys. God bless you more!

Off to Church

We are off to church even if I have a pounding headache that started this afternoon. I will be praying for me to get well later tonight so I can work fast and efficiently on my tasks so we can pay  off bills and save you know. I don’t want to miss attending church based on the few experiences we had before. We really have to find time for the Lord who is a good provider. Have you all gone to church to pray and thank the Lord? We must find time! There is still time to go to church now. Come let’s go!

Longer Life

Filed Under (Faith Matters, Health, Info, Personal) by tere on 20-04-2010

Who does not want to wish someone especially a kin a longer life when you find out they been diagnosed with a terminal disease? I cannot help but remember what I overheard from a couple in coffee shop when I was waiting for my old college friends for our mini reunion a few weeks ago. That couple was talking about a kin  living aboard who has been diagnosed with a disease caused by prolonged exposure to asbestos. In the US alone, new cases of the disease called mesothelioma are diagnosed up to 4,000 cases. That is each year from what I read from an article alos talking about mesothelioma life expectancy which is often around a 5-year survival rate based from the time of being diagnosed.

As they always say, prevention is always better than cure. If you have any loved one or know anyone exposed to asbestos, advice them to take extra precaution, have a check up and stay away from being exposed anymore. It is sad losing someone. So like that couple’s kin, I wish them the best of hope that their kin will totally recover and live longer though it is usually terminal but there are always miracles that happen every day.

I believe in miracles and the power of prayer. We can always ask and pray for a longer life.

Almost Complete

Filed Under (Faith Matters, Life, Personal, Proud Mom) by tere on 23-12-2009

We are almost complete with the nine morning masses or misa de gallo or what they also call rooster’s mass. Two more masses to go. One later on in just a few hours and then maybe tomorrow evening with the anticipated mass. Unless of course we will still decide to go to the regular early morning mass on the last day. Thank you Lord for giving us strength and encouragement to sacrifice. I am thankful that the lil boy cooperates and goes with us to these masses without any fuss and he is in good mood most of the time.
