I was happy that my classmates still remember me as a “studious student” way back in high school. That was what some wrote on their past impressions of me during our high school reunion last night at the Marco Polo. Yes high school was probably the best stage of my school life. I am proud to say I excelled in my studies most during that phase of school life and that was the phase in school life that I know I enjoyed the most. College life was different in a way. Now I can wish and pray that my little boy will also be a studious student all throughout his school life and hopefully excel as well.
One of our old friends is finally tying the knot by the end of this year. Finally they are making the big jump! I am happy for her and her long time boyfriend. According to her the wedding will be simple and among family, relatives and closest friends only. She has been trying to squeeze in preparations in between he work schedule. As much as I wish to help her out in her preparations, the lil preschooler that we have has kept our hands full too since classes started plus there is always work at home. The last time we chatted she was still trying to decide on the church and the venue for the wedding reception.
As for the wedding invitations, I plan to share with her some of the invitations that I have browsed through since online. Anyway, here is one interesting modern and unique invitation that I just found earlier. Below is a unique die-cut invitation which is in the shape of a flip-flop. This will be good for weddings that will have a beach theme and venue! My friend wants her wedding to be held outdoors though i have not heard nor have I asked her though if she does want a beach wedding. I doubt yet i have to say I liked this flip-flop invitation!

We are still watching the French Open men’s single quarterfinals match between Rafael Nadal and Nicolas Almagro. I have been a big tennis fan in my younger years but since I started working I have not followed the tennis world any longer. I know Nadal but I don’t know Almagro. They happen to be Davis Cup teammates playing for Spain. I have to say Almagro plays quite well too. But between the two, I am for Nadal who is leading so far. Go Rafa!
They are playing on clay court which is the hardest court to play tennis. This is definitely not for people who suffer from joint pains. You’d probably be limping after a few minutes of playing here. Rafa is called the King of Clay being the best clay court tennis player of all time winning four straight French Open titles. So I hope he wins this quarterfinals. He will probably be playing against Djokovic in the semifinals. Will it be Nadal vs Soderling in the French Open 2010 men’s finals? Let’s see!
A male friend was asking me what would be a great Valentine gift he could give to his wife. It took me awhile to answer because basically I don’t really personally know his wife but if I’d think of women in general I gave him some suggestions and my first was diamonds. Yes, I told him since for some of not most women say diamonds are their bestfriend. I then told this friend to see those loose diamond earrings and rings I have seen before and he could also give any other diamond jewelry that he thinks his wife would love to get.
